It's kinda amusing that you would start a thread bemoaning the "Poisoned climate" and then pretty much go straight to made up personal attacks on other people. Don't you think that's kinda interesting and revealing, Ivanhoe?
You know how to play this worn-out game very well No1. Go and play it somewhere else .... and take your booze with you.

Go back and actually read your own posts and see how quickly you denigrated into this kind of low ball tactic. But I forgive you, Ivanhoe; I know that you have fanatical beliefs and you see everyone who doesn't share them as your personal enemy. I pray every night that you will some day see the error of your ways and become an actual rational human being. It would be a miracle but with the Dark Lord anything is possible.

You mean what I did is an ad hominem ? I thought it was a good piece of advice.
Calling somebody a massmurderer .... I thought this sort of thing was to be looked upon as an ad hominem. But I'm probably wrong again ..... as usual ..... right No1 ?

I you follow the events relating to the Terri Schiavo case you cannot but conclude that the debating situation in the US is a poisoned one. There is a sharp ideological divide between the parties involved and on top of that the parties accuse eachother of being the source of it.
You hear accusations from one side to the other that the opponents are reason ...[text shortened]... nited States ?
Should they (we?) try to depolarise the situation and how should this be done ?
In fact, thinking of Holland and the VVD (especially their minister Verdonk of immigration and integration), we can see where the Dutch courts are propably going to side with international agreements and we see, at the same time, the cabinet creating laws to circumvent these...
Pretty nasty. It ruins the objectivity of law.
I think the "alternative" parties in the countries you refer to should make the most out of this possible.
It's human rights our parents and their parents fought to attain which are being thrown away.
