Politics is like a play

Politics is much like a play, is it not? If our candidate wins we act like our country will be magically transformed into a utopian wonderland of our own design. If our candidate loses, we act like our nation is going to fall apart, burn down, and sink into a swamp. In reality, neither of these things are true, but it's amusing to read posts from many of those here, and on other political forums who truly believe that. Maybe we should start to behave in a more adult manner, and not like our (so called) political leaders, who will say or do anything to hold on to power. This is what I've learned from following politics for 40+ years.

The more it changes, the more it stays the same, and the hand just rearranges the players in the game - Al Stewart / Past Present and Future 🙂
