The Earth can go back to an ice age in 10 years if it tips over the scales like it did till 10K years ago. If that happens you can forget growing crops most anywhere in the world. If someone came up with a plan to solve the worlds problem of X, and part of it was to eliminate all of Portugal, but later after much protesting by Portugal not wishing to go along with the plan, they come up with another plan which does not include eliminating Portugal. To say the first plan was good and a required step to get to the second plan is insane. The first plan sucked, just say so.
