The writing was very good, Mike. Yes, I have been venting a little and find it amusing. But, you know what? I think they are dead serious! The hatred and venom are alarming. But that is why they are in the other camp....a group of miserable whiners who hate their country and everyone who thinks independently. All goose-stepping in time to their own drum-beat....mind-numbed robots without souls.
My wife laughs at me when my old dog deliberately steps in my way when I am trying to make time on a job. I yell at the old beast "Get out of the road when I'm walkin Dog!" and she sort of does.
Big Steps and Li'l uns.
I can't stand to have things and people stepping in front of me while I'm trying to do things and get things done.

I take big steps and avoid cities every chance I get because cities seem to breed rats.

When I first moved here I once parked along a county road waiting for the school bus so that I could pick up my daughter instead of having her ride all the way home. Not a single car going by on the main highway kept on going when they saw me at that intersection. Everyone of them turned and came alongside me and asked if I was having car trouble. Not one of them knew me either. The man from California can scoff all he wants, but this is the way life should be.

I feel for you.
On the McCain hand you have a total creep who got himself shot down during war to further his political ambition.
On the Obomber hand you have a commie who's goal is to destroy America.
Good luck. May the force be with you.
One issue that was brought up was how to fix entitlement programs like Social Security. The comment was made that if you think the current credit crisis is bad, you ain't seen noth'in yet!! The current crisis pales in comparison to what is looming over the horizen when these go bust. I have to say I was glad that both acknowledged these facts, or at least seemed to. So the question remains, does anyone think either one of the jokers have the desire or ability to fix these issues or are we all doomed?

Apparently age does not imply wisdom.

That is because the people of the dust have always been able to patiently examine every issue.
I went for a walk one morning at about 4 AM in the far outskirts of Bombay... or Mumbai as you say.
Alone except for the merchants setting their stuff in their place, each looking at me like I was from Mars, I stopped and talked to these people like me. ...[text shortened]... laughing with them and we were united in thought.
So McCain to look good? No surprise here.
Bravisimo! Bravisimo! More! More! That is the funniest thing I've ever read on this site. 😉

... it wasn't a debate. The candidates answered the usual questions. Obama was in for a debate though, but the McCain campaign team made certain beforehand this would not happen.
But one thing I did find amusing was that when asked in what order they would fix the big 3, Obama didn't even mention the entitlements instead he threw in healthcare.
Also when asked if Iran attacked Israel would you wait for approval from the UN before sending troops, McCain answered no and Obama didn't even say he would send any with or without approval.
Originally posted by torch71I noticed the same thing. From what I saw McCain is campaining in realities. Obama seems to have these huge plans but fails to see how they can't be implamented.

Its the same as if I campaigned that I will give 1 million dollars to every houshold in America. Just don't ask how I will make it happen. This campaign is nothing more than a popularity contest. It seems to have very little to do with realistic policy implamentation.
