@spruce112358 saidMister Trump lies. Every politician 'spins', but Mister Trump has carried this to a whole new level, telling blatant, verifiable lies apparently without a second thought. This is either simply because he is a liar, or because his grip on reality is, shall we say, tenuous. i.e. he is losing or has lost his marbles. Either way he isn't fit for office, I mean any office, and to put him in charge of such as the economy of a country or a huge nuclear arsenal looks rather like carelessness.
This is his speech in Dubai, showing signs of signifcant mental deterioriation. I would have said he was drunk as a skunk, but apparently he doesn't drink. So this is organic. 😆

"When you look at what's happening with Russia and Ukraine the drone is killing tremendous numbers of people," Trump said during a press conference in Doha, Qatar. "You hide behind a tree ...[text shortened]... n. But he's doing a fantastic job at Transportation. But this has been a very, uh, historic trip." 😆

@Indonesia-Phil saidThere is a third possibility, which is much more sinister. Namely, that the purpose of telling so many lies is to render truth as such irrelevant. Even many of his supporters know he is lying, and they don't care; it's the not caring that Trump is evoking by telling so many lies. It's a deliberate tactic. Once people don't care about truth any more, it is easy to manipulate them into believing that right is wrong and wrong is right, and then doing things they would otherwise not do. That is how the Third Reich got people to build death camps and put their neighbors into them. That is how Trump is getting masked 'agents' to kidnap people and send them on dark plane flights to Third World gulags in defiance of due process and federal court orders.

Go to YouTube and search on "CPAC end of democracy." There's an agenda afoot, and they're making no secret of it. Trump claimed that if Evangelicals voted for him one more time, they wouldn't have to again. He meant it. It was plain text, to those with ears to hear. At the end of the YouTube rant, the speaker holds up something in his hand; it's hard to see what it is in the video clip; it's a crucifix. Evangelicals want to implement theocracy in America. Obviously, Trump is no Evangelical himself; Evangelicals themselves know this. THEY think he is God's tool. Trump does not care what they believe, about God or anything else; he just wants the accolades and the golden jet, no matter what it costs the country.
@no1marauder saidIt's complicated. You may qualify ....
Foreign income can be excluded up to an amount about twice average US income.https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/foreign-earned-income-exclusion
In any case, if an American living abroad is subject to foreign income tax which exceeds what the U.S. tax would have been, then he pays only the foreign tax. But if the foreign income tax is less than the U.S. tax would be, then you pay the difference to the IRS. I know no other country with such long sticky fingers.
The point here is that Trump is lying when he says that rich Americans will leave the country if they are taxed. They still won't escape the IRS by leaving the country, and not even by leaving and abjuring their citizenship. For tax purposes, the IRS defines "U.S. person" (i.e., liable to taxation) more broadly than the State Dept. defines "U.S. citizen."

This constant lying is not aimed at making people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore. A people that can no longer distinguish truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong. Such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, is, without knowing and willing it, completely subjected to the rule of lies. With such a people, you can do whatever you want.
