"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. It says what they meant. Plain English.

You say "aliens aren't under our jurisdiction because they owe allegiance to someone else".
Then why you want to arrest them so damned bad? Are they under our jurisdiction or are they not? You cannot arrest anyone who is not under our jurisdiction, fool. You go to another country on holiday and you are under their jurisdiction as long as you are in country, and you can be arrested under their laws if you break those laws. This is what a country's sovereignty is all about.
You wanting to arrest them (and having the jurisdiction to do so) means that if they have a kid here, then that child IS a citizen of the US, because of the 14th Amendment. Period. Period.
