Because here the idea is not just voter ID, it is the next step in permanent voter suppression. The dudes at the Heritage foundation had a talk where they admitted quite openly more voters means more democrat votes and their goal is to reduce the total voter rolls so in their agenda they think there will be a permanent shift to republican wins.
THAT is what they are after, and that was out in the open, not even trying to hide it.
They are one sinister bunch.
One bunch to be effected would be women, for instance, you would have to prove your MAIDEN name and a lot of women have so long been under the name of the husband, they couldn't even find their proof of their original name which is one tactic they will use, and poor folks who can't afford to get their birth certificate will not be able to vote, also a deliberate tactic.
And the same with black populations, reduce the voter rolls.
THAT is what is going on.

Over 140 of Trump's own ex employees are the authors and of COURSE you totally believe it when Trump says I know nothing about project 2025, and 'disavows' it. Disavows it till the time if he is reelected, all of a sudden just like he flipped on bitcoin, Tik Tok, Bud Light, EV's, give him some cash, he flips.
