99% of threads here are either American angst or conspiracy claptrap. I don’t think cutting down on them will negatively impact humanity in the least.

Is it really cutting down on them? Look at all of my threads despite me only being able to create one per 24 hours. I didn't even create a thread every day when I could create twice as many, but now I am going to create one every day for a whole month simply because I can.

Wanting something to be effective doesn't mean it will be effective. Free will is the wild card.
