In England however it should be the opposite, since it was English people who campaigned to stop slavery, thus white people get a day off to say thank you.
But Brother Edwin, the English settled America and it was the English who facilitated the slave trade to America so that they could provide the labor force necessary to tame and settle the South and eventually work the plantations. I think you had better rethink this.
