To right. It was started long before our records can show. The point is it still exists and what are we going to do about it. Looking back is only useful if we learn from it, not just recriminate.

In England however it should be the opposite, since it was English people who campaigned to stop slavery, thus white people get a day off to say thank you.

But Brother Edwin, the English settled America and it was the English who facilitated the slave trade to America so that they could provide the labor force necessary to tame and settle the South and eventually work the plantations. I think you had better rethink this.
