@metal-brain said100 percent correct.
Deep down inside some people hate honesty.
They prefer soothing lies to the brutal truth.
Ignorance is bliss.
@vivify saidYeah… I don’t know if you’re following the rhetoric of late, but Zalensky and his government use every oppertunity to try to get the West (and specifically Europe) further involved in this conflict. Sometimes going as far as to nearly sound as if it’s blackmail.
https://www.newsweek.com/putin-spit-face-un-striking-port-after-grain-deal-ukraine-1727386The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin "spit" in the face of the United Nations and Turkey after Russia was accused of striking a Ukrainian port in Odessa with missiles.
The reported strike came hours after Russia and Ukraine had r ...[text shortened]... s not fulfilled, Russia will bear full responsibility for deepening the global food crisis."
I’d take anything they say with a large pinch of salt.
Not that I’m suggesting Russia didn’t bomb food supplies, God only knows, but Zalensky’s agenda and nationalism are a whole bunch of bad doodoos.
@metal-brain saidYup. They believe in far fetched conspiracy theories, rather than face the cold hard facts of life.

@sleepyguy saidEurope and America, the ones who justifiably imposed sanctions on a murderous scumbag regime are not begging him for food we have plenty. It’s half starved third world countries who are begging for food. Exactly the ones who did not sanction or even criticise the murderous scumbag regime.
Yes it is. But one does not have to be a Putin apologist to point out how stupid it was for the whole world to line up to impose sanctions on Russia just to turn around a couple of months later to beg him for food and energy while he goes about winning the war anyway.
More sanctions and more weapons for Ukraine are what’s needed here, if Putin wants to starve his international allies to death so be it 🤷🏻♂️
Sounds like Putin might be the stupid one when you look at the reality of it huh.

@metal-brain saidWould that be the same Russia that said it wasn’t going to invade Ukraine and that it’s not targeting civilians in its bombardment of cities, the same Russia that still claims it’s not waging a war on Ukraine.
Ukraine says the strikes did little damage and that it was still committed to a grain export deal signed with Russia on Friday

@kevcvs57 saidAnnouncing a plan to invade is not very good tactic, is it?

Just like admitting there were no WMDs in Iraq would not be the best tactic to invade. Did my government announce it was going to invade Syria, take 1/3 of the country and occupy it? The oil rich part?
The USA took 1/3 of Syria and Russia took less than 1/3 of Ukraine.
How is that different?
@metal-brain saidRussia has taken the whole of Syria and killed thousands in doing so.

He announced it when he planted a massive army on its border but scumbags like you and Putin still pretended he wasn’t going to invade but now we are supposed to believe him over the evidence of our own eyes.
Perhaps you could show me where on the map of Syria the US has its massive invasion force and which cities it has turned to rubble before occupying them 🙄
@shavixmir saidGod knows and so does any sane unbiased observer. Putin is trying to starve the third world countries in order to put pressure on the west to ease sanctions.

@shavixmir saidRussia bombed a maternity hospital. I doubt that bombing grain silos, after setting up a blockade preventing the shipment of grain, is beyond them.

You are correct that claims by Ukraine and Russia should be taken with a grain of salt, but this has been independently verified:

Photos show Russian attacks on Ukraine grain storage
U.S. government images seen by Reuters showed what a U.S. official said was damage to grain storage facilities in eastern Ukraine and was indicative of the severity of Russian attacks that are impacting the global food supply.
@vivify saidThat report is from April and has nothing to do with current claims that Russia is attacking the food supply in violation of the recent agreement.

Russia help Syria kill terrorist insurrectionists. They were terrorists that the US armed in hopes they would pull off a coup.
