You mean 'gumboots'? (Named through a newspaper editor's myopic error in transposing the first letter - 'c'.)

I am sworn to secrecy ... in an effort to distract you in your dogged pursuit, you should see what the Ploppies do with wallabies!

You Americans know so little ... substitute the beads in pleasure beads with kiwifruit and you'll never look back. 🙂

Exactly! The rest of the world isn't that bad, and personally, I don't even watch TV. I have lived outside of the US and it is very nice.
I've lived in the USA all my life and when I am told how "ugly" Americans are, I always think "Y'know, I didn't choose to be born here; I'm not to blame" And when I'm told by jingoists how "lucky" I am to have been born here, I think the same thing. Then, there's the inevitable "love it or leave it" bunch; of them I wonder if they'd be so kind as to pay my way to Sweden, New Zealand, or Switzerland and put me up there?

If you posses some high in demand skills (and this does not only extend to banking and watch making) the swiss will be happy to let you in. I've lived here for 5 months now and its very nice.

In general most countries will wellcome you if you have something to contribute, I believe that would be true for the US also - though I sometime wonder if it is also true for the Americans.

Were you born in the US? That is awesome you live in Switzerland. That is one country I wouldn't mind spending some time in 🙂

Any suggestion that it was an expression of hatred for a group of people would be plain daft, of course. Like those who criticize Israel being immediately branded as anti-semetic. That, and braying You hate Americans! You hate ...[text shortened]... arze Ritter, not me. He likes to list them. And he's not in the least bit ashamed of doing so.
Excellent post, by the way.
