While the police officers may have been reasonably justified in taking the kid down for resisting arrest, we can't really fault the kid who was resisting. Police Officers have continually abused their power here in the US for decades now and it is no wonder that a poor black boy has a healthy fear of a person who historically would have taken away his rights ...[text shortened]... nsitive, but they haven't in the past and many people still fear being arrested because of it.
...What bit of information did you see that led to assume he is poor? 🙂
one thing above all in the force is if your young then you are a easy target. I was a long haired hippy in my youth tho never took anything illegal. i just enjoyed the dress and music, with heavy metal thrown in. but they used to stop me allways. best tho hard to do is talk they try to goad you but keep calm, worked for me.

Today I was on the tram and the police stoped and took away 2 mixed race boys who matched the description of boys who had commited a crime.
Outside the tram one of the boys attempted to resist what the policeman was doing so was taken to the floor where he continued to struggle. The other boy tryed to run and was also taken down.
A black tenage ...[text shortened]... ct Rodney King would not of got beaten up if he had never commited a crime in the first place.
The police in the UK are "institual racist" as per the Stephen Lawerence enquiry.
The sad reality is that this can never really go away as people are just too ignorant in life.
The only thing you can do is not fall into the same trap and lead by example.
Maybe one day, it will be reduced
