That equally applies to your comment on the socialist state.

Not at all. Socialist states reject God. They go hand in hand.

In general science rejects God.

Not at all. In general science rejects miraculous events as possible ways for people to accomplish things. You can't reproduce a miracle.

It is only when people try to apply science in areas that can't be reproduced nor can events be observed that people take God out of science. But that's when people bring their own views about God into the matter. In other words, when science must reject the existance of God, then it is built on circular reasoning. Science can neither prove, nor disprove the existance of God. Therefore it must me neutral on the issue.

Mindsets transcend countries and the people that hold them are to be found everywhere.

The rejection of God is somethig that transcends national borders? Everyone rejects God? Once again I point to Islamic countries and Islamic populations within Europe itself.

Just to make sure it doesn't get dropped, do people share equally in the UK and the rest of Europe?

You dont see a mass rejection of God in the consumer mass culture and popular live for today lifestyle enjoyed by most people in the world today? Have you turned on your TV lately?

What percentage of Americans actually go to church on a regular basis? What percentage of Europeans for that matter. Saying you believe in God and calling yourself a Christian culture is one thing, but as Christ himself said by their works you shall know them. Is it one in three or one on two couples that file for divorce these days in most western cultures. Surely this would be evidence enough that these same cultures only pay lip service to Christian values, and that their self view of being Christian is largely traditional. If you look at the lifestyles and personal values promoted by the pop icons of today, surely they represent a very large silent majority of people who by their support of these icons tell their own story of what they really subscribe to.

Not at all, but faulty assumptions are about par for the course.

Also the rejection of God goes hand in hand with the libertarian mindset.

What country has embraced libertarianism and has rejected God?

In short the rejection of God these days is fairly u ...[text shortened]... The same kind of people (when it comes to religion) as those who are bringing Islam to Europe.

Surely you're being ironic. Not even the worst Islamophobe can actually believe that Muslims "reject God".

People share things equally in the UK?

And do you believe that believing in Islam is equivalent to believing in fairies?[/b]

I do. In fact I find many Christians are quite willing to believe in faeries and other supernatural beings besides the Christian ones.

Its not that the Union Jack is being lowered its that its being reconfigured into being a feelgood new age version of finding the God within and as long as you cause no harm to any other being, then if it feels good do it. Now calling this Christianity is a problem, because its not. Just because people talk about some nebulous concept of God and then want to marry that with very pagan views on life and sexuality does not make that Christian just because it comes from a land that traditionally supported Christianity.

Science is built on the concept of parsimony. Adding God to any explanation is not parsimonious unless the explanation would fail without including God in it. No scientific explanation has required God, thus science leads one to reject God as a possibility (not in the sense of "I reject you, God, I want to make my own way" - that's how many Christians like to characterize peoples' rejection of God).

From my own experience of people who no longer subscribe to a belief in God, I agree that most never had a bitter rejection moment railing at the sky with their fists clenched, but simply got to a point where they found explanations for things that suited their understanding of things better and as such simply moved on. For the most part being educated and having a degree of courtesy and manners, they never find cause to mock or ridicule those who still find it important to believe.

It just is what it is. Some do some dont. Those that argue the loudest usually don't get it anyway.

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant to ask if such people reject God. I'm glad to see that you agree that they have not.
