The traditional explanation of the US thanksgiving is that the pilgrims landed on Plymouth rock and had a celebration feast with the native indians.
But, consider what happened AFTER the feast. The US then began to kill all the native indians and took their land and resources in the US/Indian war...
So, if you think about it, US thanksgiving is really just a celebration of the start of a genocidal war!
