My personal theory is that there are many and varied reasons for the war but the main ones have to do with top american politicians having too many financial interests in arms manufacturing and oil companies and they could see that the war would benefit them financially. I do not think that any of them actually have the best interests of the US or its economy at heart.

I love the fact that al the hard-core, right-wing, crying eagle patriots have left this well alone. This article makes perfect sense to me, and it is a little scary when you think about it.

The only surgical thing about US strikes is the ether it plies the populace with.

This article was amazing. Before reading it, I regarded the masses of internet idiots whining about oil with apathy. Now though, it makes perfect sense.

Though I'll never run around yelling "Bush did it for oil, impeach him," because that will discredit my opinion, I now am more informed.

The weird thing is that now I have to agree with foreign policy. America will protect her dollar, and I can't find a good reason for our government to not do it.

Human rights? The concept of things going around and coming around?

Yeah, but, human rights is not a REAL solution. By just evoking an emotional response to a concept such as "rights" around the world does not, and will never, make an empire stop taxing the world as described in the article.

Nope.
The war was about weapons of mass destruction. I heard Bush and Blair say so themselves.

Surely they wouldn't lie to me?

Yeah, but they later retracted that, saying they knew there wasn't any all along.

Hang on, i thought we went to way because Saddam was an evil dictator...who had weapons of mass destructions... but didn't...but then did...but then Bush says "axis of evil". I guess that must be the reason.
