@Cliff-Mashburn saidThe crime decrease is the nationwide average right? Seems reasonable itd be going to some places, down others, overall decrease.
They just aren't prosecuting or reporting them.

Oh, you didn't know? It is ALL Biden's fault and it is fake news the crime rate is down on average!

Would be criminals know there could be video cameras everywhere now and are reluctant. Cameras make cops and criminals behave better. Even in the country where I live anybody could have a hidden trail cam somewhere near their house.
But yeah, liars figure and figures lie. That happens too.
Inflation and credit card debt are too high for crime to be down, though I am surprised it is not worse and their might be a lag effect coming.

Which is a gross misinterpretation since all the man does is lie, constantly.
They can never admit they've been conned.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidYour article shows only one county and hardly proves any sort of nationwide trend. The FBI reports (which have used the same methodology for decades) say differently:

"The data show steep drops in every category of violent crime in every region in the first three months of 2024 compared to a year earlier, continuing a downward trend since a coronavirus pandemic surge.
Murder and rape were both down 26%, robbery was down 18%, and aggravated assault fell by 13% in the first quarter. Overall violent crime was down 15%, reflecting drops in every region, from 10% in the West to 19% in the Midwest, according to the FBI data released Monday."

Granted, the data is preliminary as it is for the first months of 2024 but it is consistent with prior year trends:
