Tomorrow, none of the Fed agencies are allowed pronouns in their communications. Why were they there in the first place.? Was it a move to make everyone ‘in the same place at the end of the day’?

Also, Mex and Canada (25% percent) , and China (10% percent) have these tariffs starting tomorrow. Enjoy watching FoxBusiness, unless you work for govt and have to be in the office.

The future, we are looking ahead. Eisenhower pissed off a few folks when he promoted our highway system.
If I had told you mates that highways were a major necessity, you and Marauder would have disagreed.

The future. Could it be possible that you did not mention Jan 6 today

Today is not ‘last time’. Plus he has 4 more years of thought for America success. He knows there could be an impact to consumers, but it it will pay off.

Right, there COULD be consumers getting fuuked.

Yeah, no big deal right? We can just buy TV's made in America, right?
And those poor Japs who made that TV will be shafted right?

And produce from Mexico or Brazil will be 50% higher, no big deal right?
Hey, I bet TRUMPS crap built in China like his Trump authorized bible won't have a tariff on it or his BS cards or stupid shoes or that 100,000 dollar watch no tariff on ANY of those Chinese made products.

If you were a good American, you, like Trump, would be a bit tired of these countries feeding off of us with their goods, and you would write "America First." What duty do we owe to the japs? And Sueann is about to give you hell for sayin 'japs', but just tell her that I approve it, since this is MY thread!!!! And they strafed my great Uncle in Hawaii.

The right wing Wall Street Journal editorial board slammed the tariffs against Mexico and Canada:

"The Journal added, "Leaving China aside, Mr. Trump’s justification for this economic assault on the neighbors makes no sense."

Trump has said he wants the countries to do more to prevent illegal drugs from pouring over the border into the United States.

But, the board noted, that has happened for decades — and will keep happening as long as drug users use drugs.

"Drugs may be an excuse since Mr. Trump has made clear he likes tariffs for their own sake," the board suggested.

The board said Trump's insistence the country has everything it needs on its own soil is called "autarky" — "and it isn’t the world we live in, or one that we should want to live in, as Mr. Trump may soon find out."

The board cited the auto industry as a prime example of where American automakers would be significantly less competitive without international trade. Additionally, tariffs will "cause mayhem" in trade on farm goods, the Journal argued, noting Mexico's food exports make up nearly a quarter of U.S. agricultural imports — Mexico supplies about 90% of avocados in the U.S. — and Canada accounts for a fifth.

"None of this is supposed to happen under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement that Mr. Trump negotiated and signed in his first term, the Journal concluded. "The U.S. willingness to ignore its treaty obligations, even with friends, won’t make other countries eager to do deals. Maybe Mr. Trump will claim victory and pull back if he wins some token concessions. But if a North American trade war persists, it will qualify as one of the dumbest in history."

So Trump is stupidly violating his own treaty. Way to go.

But you see, the talking heads, like Shouse as an example, do not know what Trump's plan is. You and Wildgrass, et al, want him to tell us what Trump is doing!!!! His strategy!! You want FDR to tell us that he is going to hit Normandy on June6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish all the journalist would preface their columns with 'This is just a guess,' or, ' I am not sure, but it seems to me that........'"

It seems to me, AvJoe, that Trump will not do something 'dumb'. He has been burned enough and chewed on by you hyenas ..... he will enjoy the high road for a while.

Yes we know; you think Donald Trump is almost a God that we should worship and grovel before.

Is that you shoouse. Please don't go south with. your posts.
I think that libs have a deep-seated problem...you have no leaders. Instead of 'building on' new ideas for our country, you have not one leader, no one to bank your comments on, so you lash out at our side.
I am surprised that libs find that EVERYthing Trump is doing is , just, wrong. A bit shortsighted.

You think there are "liberals" on the Wall St. Journal editorial board?

Get some self-respect and think for yourself for a change; groveling before a "leader" is an unhealthy thing for a grown man, never mind a country.

Unhealthy?. I get from your comment that a country is better off without a leader..... Lord of the Flies. How long would the 'flies' last without someone to forge a path to evolvement?

Note that you apostrophe the word 'leader' like it is just so much worthless fluff. So, you do not want us to rely (grovel?) to our leaders, look up to elected leaders?

The Flies is about self-governing, as I recall. Entertain us about 330M people self-governing, and for fun, tell us how we would best-use Sonhouse. And you, for that matter!!!! Something tells me you would start condescending as your feet hit the floor each day. Your goal on the island ?? Why, to lead, or course!!!!

If you had ever read Lord of the Flies, you'd know that it is a warning about blindly following a fear mongering "leader" (in the book, Jack).

That fits in with the experiences of the 20th Century.
