I've been observing the new baby, "Spirituality" for most of the day now and, for better or worse, I think its working.
It's refreshing to just observe and not comment. Feel like I am drinking a Jack and Coke, with a stogie on a houseboat on Lake Mead.
"Spirituality" is taking on a life of its own and will hopefully continue to thrive. Sorry to put this in Debates because there is nothing for me to debate. I didn't want it in "Spirituality" and I didn't think it would go in "General". I probably won't debate this with anyone but I will continue with my J n C....
Meant to name this "Relaxing"......duh 😕

Personally, I would engage in debate with someone who uses religious evidence to support the case, if the debate called for it. If that happens in the Debates forum I will not cry "Foul" and alert a mod. If however, and I think this has happened in the past, the debator starts to either condemn or preach their beliefs in an inappropriate format not consistent with the initial debate, I think that's when it should go into Spirituality. I think this is also easier for the mods to deal with then to have to go thru individual postings.

The new forum is for new religious posts to be created in. If you have a topic and you think the major gist of the thread will go in a religious direction, start it there.
People are trying to paint this like it is censorship, or religion is being hidden. This is not the case. The new forum is even more popular than the original debate forum, and it gives us an extra forum to check out if we are into religion... or a place to avoid if it is too much for someone.

Can we talk about religion in the debate forum? Yes, you can. If it is on topic, go for it. It is only a problem if it is off topic, or begins to hijack the thread. That is when it is a problem.
