Nearly two years after he infamously accused President Obama of lying about his health care overhaul, Republican Rep. Joe Wilson claims he was right all along.
The South Carolina congressman was pilloried in 2009 for shouting "You lie!" at the president in the middle of a national address after Obama claimed the health care bill would not cover illegal immigrants.

But Wilson is claiming some vindication after the Health and Human Services Department awarded millions to "migrant and seasonal farm worker" health care -- a spokeswoman in the department was cited last week saying patients would not be asked about immigration status and a department official confirmed Monday that the centers receiving the grant money must offer primary care to "all residents" in a given area.

His charges then and now stemmed from concerns that the health care overhaul lacked adequate verification standards for determining the legal status of applicants, despite Democratic claims that it would not cover illegal immigrants.

Wilson specifically seized on a report last week on CNSNews.com saying $8.5 million in funding would go toward health centers serving farm workers.

The fact is, if a left winger had acted the same way at a SOUA, there would have been Hell to pay. As usual, right wingers get a pass.

He's still in office. A left winger would not be.

Bill Maher lost a TV show for saying that there was nothing particularly "brave" about lobbying cruise missiles from hundreds of miles away from a target, whereas G. Gorton Liddy actually expanded his radio shows after suggesting that people shoot the heads of federal agents who come to their door.

Or the fact that Natalie Maines almost lost her career and can't get any play on country stations over a flippant remark during a concert, while Sara Palin gets no real criticism for attacking Obama on foreign soil and saying that he's too hard on China.

Right wingers get a pass for transgressions much worse than what will sink the career of a left winger. It's the way of things.

Its apples and oranges.
Your using what happens to unwise entertainers who flap their gums too much, to what should happen to a congressmen who spoke out of order on the House floor.
This comparison make no sense what so ever.

Federal money to fund low cost medical clinics reduces the load on emergency hospital aisles.

All federal grants cover illegal immigrants in some way. For example, a federal grant to build an interstate covers illegal immigrants because illegal immigrants travel on the interstate.

However, one thing for sure, its that an illegal immigrant cannot get insurance coverage through the Health Care Reform. Thus, the President did not lie when he said that illegal immigrants could not be covered.

The right wing rags faux news and cnsnews are not very reliable, and distort nd outright lie.

It's all about how the media covers the stories.

Was it the first time a member of one of the houses had shouted abuse at a president in the chamber during a State Of The Union Speech?
