At least the President is much more secular maybe even with agnostic tendencies. Quite the opposite, W held a weekly Bible study in the White House in part for guidance in making important decisions about the country.

Further, highly unlikely the President is a young creationist. In contrast, W became a fundamentalist after his partying days.
You know, I don't know how seriouis W. is about his religion.

A lot of my friends on left say the same as you say. Yet, I believe he is fundamentalist. I grew up surrounded by fundamentalists. What you have to keep in mind that fundamentalists believe in war and the death penalty. They also "sin" as a matter of convenience, and then ask forgiveness. Many loath other people and don't always have empathy. Yet, they do believe in the literal Bible and that they are going to heaven and that most other people are going to hell, that prayer works, there are answers in the Bible, and yes, that the Earth has only been here 6000 years. I think Bush fits. His conversion was typical for a late fundamentalist.

He's
Not a fundamentalist so much as he's an addict. He has an addictive personality.
