Currently some subscribers are debating in ''Site Ideas'' whether non-subscribers should be limited from posting in RHP forums.
Opinions?
Ps:
They'll find ''The New King'' in the way of their nose, unless they stop this discrimination against members who do not wish to pay to post their opinions. I'll give 'em hell, as long as I'm alive.
I'll fight till there's Justice for all.

personally, i hope non subs can continue to post.
and i hope people are also allowed to continue debating not letting them post 😉

What are we going to do that now?
Let's discuss!

What is normal?
Let's discuss that too.

Originally posted by Delmer"Normal" is paying for things you need or want, not succumbing to outside pressure to buy something you don't need or want. If an RHP member has no desire to play lots of games or join clans or play in tourneys, then why spend the money? You forget that buying services should go both ways: The seller gets money to run his business, AND the buyer gets a service that he feels is worth the money.

The power hungry posse of anti-non-subs is a wine stain on the great milky white carpet of these fantastic forums.
Obviously being a non-sub at this moment in time, I'm hindered from letting fully blow my bottled up hatred for the swine who would prefer locked doors meeting new, adventurous and experimenting chessers, but I really feel that this small group of totalitarian Thacherites with the dimmed senses of a lightbulb without electricity should be brought to heel before they do anything too damaging and irreversable.
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! YOU ARE NOT WORTH THE STEAM OFF MY PISS!
And now I've got to go back to do some diving...

Of course, as the non-subs will likely be quick to point out, there's been a number of problems in the forums caused by subscribers too.
I'm in favour of limiting the number of posts any one RHP member can make per day, whether they be subcriber or a non-subscriber. You don't need to start 20 threads, or say the same thing over and over, or have public insult contests, in order to post your opinions. Limiting the number of posts per day would hopefully result in people thinking at least a little bit before they hit the "Post" button.
I'll always defend the rights of non-subs to post as much as they like. The issue is effective modding - removing the posting rights of spammers and trollers, whether subs or not.
Unfortunately, a few of our new "friends" have tended to be non-subs. I suppose that is inevitable; these are people who don't really have anything invested in the site, and so feel they can treat it - and its community - with a lack of respect.
Restricting the posting rights of all non-subs would perhaps help deal with the problem of spamming, but it is the wrong solution. It would punish those non-subs whose posts are entertaining or helpful.
It would also punish Bowmann.
Let's face it, though - if we got rid of JoniG and his extremely like-minded acolytes, we wouldn't currently have a significant spam/trolling problem.
