I've asked this before, but didn't get a meaningful response, so I probably asked it wrong. Is there a correlation, or maybe even a causal relationship between social views and the ways people debate? Use examples from RHP to support your view. If yes, why?

I'm not sure what you’re asking, "social views" is a broad statement
that can be taken several ways. Are you asking if someone is a
liberal or conservative, religious in the since of believing in God or
not? Did you have something else in mind?

It's pretty clear that the spectrum of debate subjects on RHP is clustered pretty tightly around a core based on philosophical, religious, political and to a lesser extent, scientific views. In each of these realms, people are often roughly classified on a two-sided continuum, for example ''liberal'' or ''conservative''. We all agree that this isn't something to strictly adhere to, since most people base their beliefs on specific pieces of evidence (as it should be). However, there is a strong correlation between the places where a given individual falls on each of these continuums. I'm wondering whether a person's presentational style in an argument is informed by his or her political, philosophical, religious or scientific ideas.

You grammar is poor, hence everything you say is false. You should have written the following:

[i]Are you saying that my being a bad-tempered FFing socialist is influencing the FFing manner in which I debate?

I would say no, it does not have anything to do with it.
I would liken it to a comparison of music. You can have gospel
music with a hard rock flavor, country style, rap, and so on. The
message is same but the style of delivery would be different.
A 3/4 beat, or a 4/4 one doesn’t rule life, if my example makes
any sense.

My impression is that rhetoric is used heavily by both liberals and conservatives here, though the emotional motivators used may be different. It happens, however, that the more liberal-leaning Wolfpack tends to advocate dispassionate rationality more than most posters, though their opponents would accuse them of hypocrisy in this matter.

Have you noticed anything about the different kinds of rhetoric used by posters with different sympathies?

Conservatives use stupid rhetoric, while liberals use witty and charming rhetoric. Most of the time, that is.

Yes those, whose sympathies are aligned with mine, seem to employ only the most sensible, perspicacious rhetoric.

Those with whom I disagree make no sense!!!
