RHP "About Us" page

Like most web-sites, RHP should have an "About Us" page where they declare their location, where the subscriptions go to, contact details, etc.

They don't have this whilst censoring posts and banning their (subscription paying) authors.

Perhaps by not stating where they are allows them to remain neutral or apolitical. This is, after all, a chess site.

Collecting money, censoring and banning isn't a neutral or apolitical position.

Personally I think there should be some boundries set on what people can and cannot be free to say in a forum setting like this one. Keep in mind you have all nationalities, ages and sexes on this site and some restraint should be used. If an individual displays a total lack of good judgement in his/her posts there should be a system of checks and balances. However, it could be moderated by the community, 'us', that it effects. For example moderation of a thread through some democratic process would be fair.

Being absolutely free to spew whatever hateful or vile drivel I feel inclined to would detract from this site. For example I could make a hobby out of aggressively mocking and badgering you. While you would be free free to ignore what I'm sure would be absolutely brillant and witty banter on my part no one should have to put up with my unfiltered crap.

In short, the moderators have a difficult task and I'd cut them some slack.

RHP isn't obligated to have this. If you were uncomfortable about
this fact, then you shouldn't have subscribed. You agreed to a
specific set of terms when you joined this private community. If
you were uncomfortable with that, you shouldn't have subscribed.

As such, you use the word 'should' inappropriately. What you mean is,
'Because my agenda is not well received, I demand that RHP have
an 'About Us' page....'

Unfortunately, because you have labeled yourself as a left-wing, anti-
USA nutjob, no one is the slightest bit interested in your demands.

I wrote you an extended message before your most recent ban. You
should heed some of the advice in it.

To the contrary, people have been debating where RHP is based, potential political bias, etc. The opening post still stands.

Funny, but I don't remember subscribing to a political site. Could have sworn it was here to play chess, with the "added" idea of a forum. Guess I'll have to demand my money back!!

Then the forum is a joke but of concern in that it reinforces the cenorship and misinformation by the media and government.

I'm sure that RHP used to have an address in the UK where you could mail a check if you wanted to subscribe that way but I can't locate it anymore. I remember asking a few players in the UK how close they were to the town where RHP was located.

You're a joke, Stank. However, you're of no concern at all.

Non-subscribers are welcome to post in any of our forums. Posts are subject to moderation, especially those by spammers. Spam is hated almost universally and there's really no need to resort to it just to make a point. If your point was worth a damn, people would listen the first time without the need for incessant repeat posting on your part. Remember, this forum is for the enjoyment of members of the site. Do you really expect anyone to respond to your personal idealistic crusades? Learn to sit on your hands instead of clogging the boards with such idiocy.

Thank You, the RHP management.

Then make use of your God-given right to boycot it.

This is a privately owned site. It makes no pretenses about being
fair, presenting even-handed data, or even reliable information. It is just
a bunch of people posting the ideas that they care about.

If this were a public news agency, I'd be right with you. However, it isn't.
It's a private chess site. You are here by invitation. You have no
right to expect anything. You agreed to the terms of the site and you will
conform to them. If you don't like the terms, then you have every right to
leave.
