@contenchess saidHuber is a particularly unfortunate victim here; he sees someone gun down an unarmed man and tries to disarm the shooter armed only with a skateboard. Normally, he'd be considered a "hero" for this brave act, even if it was foolish.

But that doesn't mean the shooting of Rosenbaum was legally justified esp. the "kill shot" in the back. Rosenbaum's prior criminal convictions are completely irrelevant.
EDIT: I guess it's unclear whether Huber saw Rittenhouse shoot Rosenbaum or just heard someone else say Rittenhouse had "shot someone".
