Not beheading. They were kneecapping each other in NI not so long ago, and wiring up bombs in cars.
Not so long ago .. so it has stopped, while Islam is on a rampage and increasing its terrorism, raping and beheading, and the reason is that the Quran condones rape, killing of unbelievers. It is a sick religion, and needs to be removed.

What went wrong in Afghanistan .... it's a country ruled by tribal war lords, each one vying for favor with the 'occupying' allies; they never got the idea of working together to govern themselves, and it fell apart within days of the allies leaving. It was so predictable ...

Go to amazon and search on 'What went wrong in Afghanistan' or the author Metin Gurcan, an author with on-the-ground experience of the region.
Yabbut. You don't create a democratic nation by 'occupying it' and 'telling everyone to behave' while you fight their civil war for them! That never works. You only do that if you want to funnel money to your own military contractors. As soon as you leave, the situation collapses leaving the 'good' population helpless.

Tribal warlords (which is the most time-honored and ancient system of human governance, right after hunter-gatherers) are easy to defeat because they can't unite and work together. But you have to FULLY arm the good guys. We didn't. We refused to. We were scared what would happen.

If you are too scared to do the right thing, then the wrong thing will happen. Afghanistan will rebuild much more along the lines of Iran (theocracy) than a Western democracy. πŸ˜†

Rumsfeld himself was quoted saying 'we're not in the business of nation building.' Pfui. It was a blunder to have gone there in the first place, cost much blood and treasure and accomplished nothing. George W. Bush's ugly legacy. They should have just taken out Osama Bin Laden with a covert Navy seal operation and been done with it.

How, exactly, do you propose to "remove religion"? The Soviet Union tried it, didn't work; as soon as the Soviet Union collapsed, religion surged back to life in the former socialist republics where it had been suppressed. China is trying it. Won't work there either.

There is a simple principle about murderers. They need to be killed. Muslims who behead or kill others must be killed. Its a simple thing. Once the Islamic extremists are removed then the moderates remain. Gradually the murderous part of the religion will be removed.

China is actually a good example. They are firm with Islam in that country.

Something has to work. People cannot sit by and watch Islam murder people and its going on in many parts of the world.

It's a funny way to spend 20 years then, if you are not 'nation-building'... $$$! πŸ˜†

The only excuse for the US to be in ANY nation - Afghanistan, Iraq, Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam, France, Cuba, Grenada, Panama, Mexico, Haiti, Germany, Italy, Japan is nation building (actually re-building). Come in with overwhelming force, set things right, then leave, leaving the locals to fix things up how they want and just keeping an eye for a bit.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But Rumsfeld and Cheney were part of the idiotic crew that REALLY started fuuking this up - and it was half-incompetence and half a desire to make money.

War is not a for-profit enterprise. πŸ˜†

Rumsfeld and Cheney were pursuing an ideology at the time, penned by Paul Wolfowitz, which held that, after the collapse of the USSR, America, as the only superpower, could enforce its vision of the world on the world without triggering a nuclear response from the USSR. It failed, at huge cost. Trump, on the other hand, is pursuing the maximisation of his own financial gain, also at huge cost, not only to the American taxpayer, but at the cost of losing the goodwill of most of the Third World and America's traditional allies in Europe and Canada. Time will tell, which policy contributed more to the ultimate failure of pax Americana.

Trump was fined $355m in a NY bank and tax fraud trial. Did you sleep through that?

That's on appeal, he hasn't paid out a dime. Let's see what the appelate court decides. The dollar amount was ridiculous for a technical violation in which absolutely no one was hurt or even complained, and everyone knows it.
Every financial organization involved was paid on time, in full, and were happy with the millions in interest they made.

This just shows the dishonest liberal democrat courts.

The prosecuter is now under investigation for fraud herself

Its the normal language of most of the Jew-haters, supporters of Islamic extremists, the left-leaning WOKE crowd. Apparently when they cannot win an argument or have their way [like killing Christians in peace without any hindrance], they get pretty vile.
