I'm a big fan.

Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk and Poses are my two favourite choons I think.

Where's the debate?

Thanks for responding.

I thought I'd better post this thread in Debates forum. You never know these days ..... 😉

I only recently heard a couple of his songs and they struck me as being highly original, appealing and fascinating. His music is far from being middle of the road and it seems to me that he is a big big talent. His voice has something that is hard to describe. It expresses a certain longing, a feeling, you can also find in the Portuguese fado songs. The Portuguese call it "saudade". Maybe we can translate it as "nostalgia".

He's a homosexual Canadian speed freak, with enormous talent.

I love the way his songs don't follow the predefined rules of verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, verse, chorus, and that his songs just keep going to match the strength and requirements of his lyrics.

Nice description.. I didn't know anything about him
I only have a few tracks
Get out of Town..... sort of old fashioned & very melancholic
Across the Universe with Sean Lennon ... he certainly stamps his style on that.. great track.

and Ain't Nobody - He is somebody and left me wanting to know a bit more.

His sister Martha just released an album as well. Saw the video last weekend on The Wedge. Didn't sound too bad at all...
