will be expanded on (if you can be that specific)
2. Why will such Chinese expansion be detrimental to Russia? I see such a posture by the Chinese
as mitigating Russian bad intentions, thereby enabling Russia to expand in the West more easily

Russia is already intent on expanding westward that’s actually their stated aim at least in terms of their ‘sphere of influence’ which they have stated should return to the soviet era.
I take you do not take an even cursory interest in history, because if you did you would know that dominant nations and empires expand territorially, economically, militarily and politically.
What is your reason for assuming that China ( if it gains dominance ) will not expand westward as well as in every other direction.
It is not in Russias long term interests for China to overcome the US anymore than it is in China’s interest for Europe to be unified under one aggressive power, anymore than the US would want to see that.
