One Russian gets stabby with another during a genuine Euro-style riot over Estonias removal of the the Soviet installed Tribute to Totalitarianism.

Earlier today a local told me that they were still rioting, only not as bad as yesterdays car burning killfest.

It's a good thing that the Russians aren't the object of hate that the US is. They seem a bit on the "miffed" side of things. Imagine what would happen if they were savaged like the US by the worlds socialists and clueless haters of all types... or STANGERS as I call them?

That would be fun to watch. "Socialism in Action... Part Two: Teaching Non-Worshipers a Lesson." or "how to make funny little places glow in the dark for fun and profit."

What is it with the Russians and Eastern Europe lately? Its like they're still mad about not being in control of it. They blow their top everytime something happens there that hints at Russia not still owning it.

I lived there for over a year. Believe me, those freakin dastards are
one third of the country, they are arrogant like you can't imagine, '
do not want to learn the freaking language, and do not integrate.

And what is it with politicians in Russia threatening with diplomatic
rupture?!?!?! Nor Moscow nor the ethnic Russians in the Baltics
understand that they do NOT own the freakin region anymore.

Russians in this region make them look all like a pest. 😠

Well, it's a dispute about the role of Russia in Estonia. Obviously both sides are taking the usual "or" stance, instead of the "and" one which would probably end the nonsense.

Is it possible that sometime in the future we'll see eastern Europe do what it should have done 15 years ago and finally give the Russian people a big old train ticket back to Russia.

OR, the Russians could just stop being unreasonable AND just admit to themselves that they had their boots on the Eastonians necks from WWII until the fall of their empire.

I am an advocate of integration, of tolerance and all that stuff... but
seeing in my everyday life the Russian "minority" in Estonia gave me
the impression that most of them just do not want to accept Estonia is
no longer their backyard.

I would put a 2 year limit to pass a language and culture exam and
then, if not... it's a free ticket back to Russia. Period.

Here's a Russian report on the riot claiming that the stabbed Russian was a Russian national and was killed in clashes with police.

This riot is a fine example of multiculti gone wrong. Immigration is fine, as long as the immigrants become part of society and not try to make it their own.

Seitse, is it possible that Russia had some small hand in encouranging these riots?

Exactly! A process that, throughout history, has been central to the creation of stable nations states after the fall of an empire or when borders are drawn/redrawn.

Oh, you are back.

And I thought you finally have found a worthy way of earning your food instead of draining public funds, you slacker.

And, once again, you are wrong: Language and culture have nothing to
do with ETHNICS, moron. A black African can learn Estonian language
and culture and be a normal Estonian, inserted into society as anybody
else.

As a matter of fact, if you would leave your little island, jerk, and visit
Tallinn, you would see the several Cuban-born individuals who are
average Estonians, and no ethniticity stuff involved.

Loser. An ignorant as always.

The statue was a statue commemorating brave men who fought and died defending Estonia.

I'm sure you can appreciate not everyone being happy that it's dragged down. I mean, even without taking into consideration the massive amounts of Russian casualties suffered.

Uh...dude...

What you're saying is that a country (read: the powerful in a country) can rearrange borders and then ethenically cleanse the area. And that's alright???

Nazi.
