Why don't you guys start discussing something important...like oh, i don't know, maybe your economy? And maybe discuss the fact that from 2000-2007 your real wages have decreased by almost 3%? Why not discuss what kind of economic policies need to change in order to reverse this trend?

Regarding her character, I am very concerned that she threatened to fire a librarian because the librarian refused to censor books. I'm also quite concerned about the "trooper-gate" for which she is under investigation. These seem to be more of the same type of politics that Bush uses a la Valeri Plame, etc.
The fact that her town made sexual assault victims pay for tests is unbelievable. Do you know how difficult it already is for a victim to come forward? Now they have to pay too?? Unbelievable.
Et cetera. Read that page (and the sources it links).

Climate change is important, and her assertions in the past that it is not affected by human behavior is consistent with her other positions in favor of junk science, to wit, support for creationism, opposition to endangered species listing for polar bears, and her appeal to voter naivete concerning the likely impact of ANWR drilling. Her name was Pauline Hanson and although she may not have been as outrightly gorgeous as Sp she was definitely cut from similar cloth.
Read her opening speech to parliament and you will get a sense of what was going on. She is largely credited for creating a toxic social environment in the country that even though she talked unity, she had an uncanny knack of picking on a lot of disadvantaged people and making them the scapegoat for all the countries problems. It would be fair to say, that she was instrumental in helping the incumbent Liberal Party(GOP equivalent by Australian Standards) get re-elected at a time when they were after one term in politics getting a bit on the nose.
