The same number of times a defeated President has tried to illegally overturn his election loss by siccing a mob on Congress and his own Vice-President.
Letting in a team that not only had a home loss but also needed a last second miracle to beat a .500 Auburn squad over a Conference Champion who lost no games and won against 3 teams ranked in the top 20 when they played them was a sick joke.

IF the committee was so obsessed with "the 4 best teams" (and results be damned), it would have selected Georgia anyway which was defending champion, ranked #1 all year and was favored by almost a touchdown when they played Alabama. The Bulldogs would undoubtedly have been favored against any of the 4 teams selected.
