Why is it when people get in groups, the urge to scream grows stronger. For example, a crowd at a sports or music event seems to think it is a great idea to scream as loudly as possible.

Does anyone have any theories on why this is?

people want attention and will do whatever it takes to get it.


Also, have you ever seen a bunch of apes or gorillas get together...just a bunch of whooping and noise making. Humans are no different
