Birtherism. Global warming and man's contribution are a hoax. Cutting taxes on the rich and the economy will magically improve, and the crumbs will trickle down. Secession is American or God-given, a viable option. Etc. . . .
My question is why is there so much ignorance in the Republican Party, and why so much pandering to ignorance in the Republican Party? What happen to the once great Republican Party?

unfortunately the Republican party failed to change with them.
So, the Republican party lost touch with the majority of the American People.
That's why Obama won and they didn't.

Helps them to rationalize why they (the government) must be in control. The government must do things for people because people are too stupid to take care of themselves.
EDIT: some other things we believe in: defending our nation, Christ, the right to self-determination, the notion that opportunity is open to all...
The more I think about it they're right. We're just awful.

Ignorance in the democrat party makes them point to the beam in their neighbors eye before casting it out of their own eye. The only real question is, what happen to the two party system?

Now Obama wants Congress to relinquish their role in approving a debt ceiling so he alone can do it. I guess the progressive way to avoid "obstructionism" is to have a dictatorship.
Not to worry Suzianne, this is who is at the helm of the GOP.
There is no real opposition party, just a side show for idiots who think that we actually have alternatives other than the status quo.

If the President tries to do this, I would strongly support impeachment. It is the House that controls the purse strings -- that has to be made clear.
