"What is a self-managed abortion? Doctors explain."

"With abortion rights under threat, in light of the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion voting to overturn Roe v. Wade, organizations, doctors and others are sharing information online about self-managed abortion, specifically abortion pills.

"Google searches for "abortion pill" were reportedly "skyrocketing," while other organizations saw a spike in inquiries about prescription abortion pills after the Supreme Court draft opinion became public.

"But what exactly is a self-managed abortion? And how safe is it?"

I know that they're trying but
they can't outlaw 'the pill,' can they?

Suzianne? Are you against cruelty to animals? Peta person? Don’t hurt that dog? Would you support the vegan who walked into a hamburger joint with bloody meat, asking diners To witness the source of their hamburgers, which is a slaughtered cow??
Everyone here will assume that you could not stand the slaughter of animals. Yet, you standby, as does marauder and everyone else, and say it is OK to do this to babies. Marauder says it’s OK up to 13 weeks. OK cool no argument. But what about partial abortions. Have the courage to compare the partial abortions, where special instruments are made to do this cutting and slicing, this dismemberment. Tell us that it is OK to slaughter animals, which makes liberals run and scream, and at the same time it is OK to abort babies, and liberals do not run and scream. This is my biggest question in these abortion discussions.
Marauder says that only about 7% of the abortions are partial abortions. Unbelievable. All of you should have the courage to discuss what happens when a doctor walks into an abortion room. Tell us what happens in there. Have courage!!

Ain't gonna do them any good if they did, is it?

They ban H and fentanyl and there's still a steady stream of it. Users of this type of pill
won't worry about cost either since use of it is very rare, so I see no probs, IMO

Fact of the matter, women, for whatever reason,
will continue to seek, and receive abortions.
Fact of the matter, women will be forced into dangerous
situations unless, of course, they have resources.

What is curious about those (evangelical activists) who oppose abortion, is that they also oppose contraception.
Hmmmm .......
In light of the fact that good practice in contraception will reduce the need for abortion.

So, while many protest outside of the clinics screaming "baby killers" at those arriving at the clinic, what is really in their heads ?

All this talk about the sanctity of human life is just that. Talk !!

I have stated in the past that the general belief amongst evangelicals is that abortion availability increases sexual promiscuity.
And contraception just doesn't work for these people.

Far from "being rare", medication abortions are now more than half of all abortions in the US. https://www.guttmacher.org/article/2022/02/medication-abortion-now-accounts-more-half-all-us-abortions

Pharmaceutical executives will be up on the wall right along with doctors if you guys get your Gilead.

Yes, of course the availability of birth prevention prob increases promiscuity. But lucky for us, it is not our business what those people do. I dont give it a moment's thought, and of course, they know how not to get pregnant. So if they do, they do. Again, not our business.
Y'all really chided me a couple years ago, saying that I don't want to pay for someone's 'recreational sex'. Some very promiscuous girl got headlines, wanting free sex stuff....she could play sex, while you and I worked while she was doing it, paying taxes to cover her free toys. Someone here actually was cool with that. And you wonder how I can be a selfish republican .

The governor of Tennessee just signed into law a provision that will restrict (though not outlaw) "medication abortion" beginning January 2023.

Another RED STATE................
This may have a real backlash,
notice The GOP muddied the waters
talking about 'the leak,' rather than
the projected opinion itself?
ROE v WADE was not unpopular.
