Lived there nearly 25 years. Shook the dust off my feet about 9 years ago. (Not to imply that there are still not good people there.)
Al Gore's state....
Nashville is a great town/

@jimm619
Well, used to be. When I left, Nashville was really the last blue bastion.

Yes, of course the availability of birth prevention prob increases promiscuity. But lucky for us, it is not our business what those people do. I dont give it a moment's thought, and of course, they know how not to get pregnant. So if they do, they do. Again, not our business.
Y'all really chided me a couple years ago, saying that I don't want to pay for someone's ...[text shortened]... ys. Someone here actually was cool with that. And you wonder how I can be a selfish republican .
Come on now......
The abortion issue is not about who is paying for it.
Really ? Really ?

Suzianne? Are you against cruelty to animals? Peta person? Don’t hurt that dog? Would you support the vegan who walked into a hamburger joint with bloody meat, asking diners To witness the source of their hamburgers, which is a slaughtered cow??
Everyone here will assume that you could not stand the slaughter of animals. Yet, you standby, as does marauder ...[text shortened]... hat happens when a doctor walks into an abortion room. Tell us what happens in there. Have courage!!
No one is "killing babies".

Stop lying.

At least learn English.

Far from "being rare", medication abortions are now more than half of all abortions in the US. https://www.guttmacher.org/article/2022/02/medication-abortion-now-accounts-more-half-all-us-abortions

Pharmaceutical executives will be up on the wall right along with doctors if you guys get your Gilead.
The governor of Tennessee just today signed into law regulation of "medication abortions".

Dictating morality now?

What happened to "leave us alone"?

The governor of Tennessee just signed into law a provision that will restrict (though not outlaw) "medication abortion" beginning January 2023.
I saw this right after I posted this thread.

More law is on the way in TN and other states.

Oh, and try to spell my name right next time.

So? It’s a woman’s body; her bloody choice.
There are multiple reasons for not wanting a child and wishing to abort a pregnancy.

Not your bloody call to make.

Making abortions illegal will not change any of the reasons women want or need an abortion. All it will do is make them less safe.
Seriously. Watch or read (that’s something you do with letters in a book, by the way) “The Cider House Rules”.

Knitting needles and booze. Oh, what a grand fukking plan that is!

What’s next? Banning masturbation… don’t want those bloody seeds spilled into a sock now, do we?

All hail your pro-life fukking God with his floods and bloody plagues.

One little nit to pick with this great post.

Republican policies are actually against the God they claim to follow. They are absolutely anathema to Jesus' teachings.

One big difference is that misoprostol, when used after mifepristone, actually works whereas, even according to your cited article (from a site founded by Tucker Carlson):

"The majority of clinical data indicates that Ivermectin is not an effective treatment for COVID-19."

Works for what?
Abortions for people?
Medication for horses?

The majority of clinical data regarding Ivermectin is funded by big pharma to get the results they want and when they don't they never release the studies.

Did the queen take Ivermectin?

Who could blame her? Ivermectin is proven safe, unlike Paxlovid.
