4 Republican senators join with Democrats to pass bill to overturn Trump’s Canada tariffs
The Senate voted 51-48 Wednesday to undo President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada, delivering its first major rebuke to Trump since he returned to the White House.
The opposition, long stunned by the sheer audacity of fascist overreach in the first couple months of what's-his-name's 2nd term, is finally coming together.
Also, more special elections happened yesterday, and they continue to reflect a general 15-point shift away from Republicans, approximately. This despite the fact that most voters haven't yet felt, first-hand, the real consequences of King What's-his-Name's erratic and demented "policies." We can expect those consequences will be biting hardest when the midterm elections come around. There is little reason to doubt that will be when the GOP loses the House, and the self-anointed "king" will become largely a figurehead. At that point, if history is any guide, MAGA will begin consuming itself. I predict a Republican rout in 2028. Well, I've been predicting this since last year, but the probability is increasing.
And despite Musk's patently illegal voter bribes, he lost his bid to buy a state supreme court justice in Wisconsin. The Republican candidate lost by double digits. Tesla continues its death spiral, meanwhile.

@Soothfast saidExecutive over-reach; Trump thinks the SCOTUS immunity-ruling, plus his massively misinterpreted 'massive voter mandate' ("all the swing states" ), gave him carte blanche to do whatever he wants. Four Rep. Senators have finally figured out that America's allies abroad are still going to be there when Trump leaves office: best not to alienate them. May more become so enlightened.
