Of all Shakespeare's villians, he created so many violent and evil characters; choose one character that do you think is the most malevolent and explain your reasons>>😠

There are many great violent, evil and complex characters; but my choice will be IAGO!
He so malevolent and he can manipulate every one in the play, specially OTHELLO.He play this mind game so well, that he tortures Othello to insanity. What makes Iago the worst of Shakespeare" villians is that he has no motive to be an evil character;perhaps only that he never got the promotion that Othello nevr granted him.Still his nature is to deceive not only Othello, but everyone on the play, including Desdemona, his best friend and his own wife.He uses jealousy as his primary weapon on Othello. Iago understand the human psyche,he does not appear to be violent on the surface (not like Richard the III, the moor "titus Andronicus",lady Macbeth or Edmund "king Lear".So his sharp and intuitive mind makes him more dangerous than the rest .At the end of his life;Iago does not even feel any remorse of his actions.:'(

Reginald. A little-known play, some still attribute 'The Mean, Small-Minded Mopsie' to Marlowe.

But it *was* Shakespeare. Reginald the Mean, Small-Minded Mopsie. A real villain, and no mistake.

.

Iago is of course the Top of the Bill in Shakespearean Evilville, but the Duke of Gloster, Richard III, is a great second. He informs the spectators of his evil intentions and plans, thus making the public an accomplice in his bloody coup d'état and subsequent reign .... hehe ...

Edmund from King Lear is quite the evil bastardo, though Iago is creepier. Macbeth tops the log in terms of bloodshed--I think.

I find Prospero quite evil--enslaving Caliban, controlling his daughter...all for the sake of his Faustian ambition.

Which (7) villains would you choose for a "Reservoir Dogs" type line-up?

I will say The Madsen's Character....Mr Black ( i believe)..He tortute the cop (cutting his ear while he istied up) for just having fun in my opinion. I believe tha rest of the group were not so bad charcters at all>

I meant if you picked some of Shakespeare's characters to form a posse of bad guys--like Mr Black et al--who would you choose (and what would you have them do).
