@ponderable saidNo, I don't think she said that. So, let's just dismiss everything she said.
So we have Rashida Tlaib and her position, which before October7th was seen as partisan. That she can't get over herself and call a terrorist attack, a terrorist attack is hard to bear.
Her Point that s good agreement in whioch both sides find themselves on one level is not really a point of debate in my opinion.
So she adressed demonstrants.
Did she tell them to "fight" against congresspeople?
Whew.

@averagejoe1 saidWhat's "whew" in this context? A simple expression of surprise, or are you trying to excuse Trump treason?

@kewpie saidTake the word 'organise', my erudite friend. Pronounced properly as you spell it, it would be pronounced 'organ-ICE'. i.e., If you pronounced 'ise', you would say ice.
Says a citizen of a country which has replaced organise with organize, realise with realize and ostracise with ostracize ... šµš«
InterNET and CITIZEN is a pretty obvious source for NETIZEN, isn't it?
Organize, however, is pronounced the way it should be, 'organ-iZe'. (like eyes)..
Of the two spellings, organ-eyes makes more sense, sounds about rite!
Say 'organ-ice' to your friends and see how they regard it. Not pretty!!!
@averagejoe1 saidWhat exactly is your point?

That if Peter doesn’t get a fine for driving too fast, then nobody should?
@kewpie saidThat, his referring one of many Trump comments , while conveniently omitting that he also said "peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard"š, becomes tiresome. So 'whew is for , oh no, not again.
What's "whew" in this context? A simple expression of surprise, or are you trying to excuse Trump treason?
I feel like an english teacher teaching writing and composing and the closing of issues.
Like, what if a newcomer to all this reads his post, and travels only on that little bitty comment in responding? "Did she tell them to Fight congress people". Implying that that was Trump's untempered marching order?
Whew again. Very disingenuous.

@shavixmir saidHa! I don't blame you for segueing on this one. This point is plain on its face. We Americans pronounce 'organize' as it is spelled. You fellers change it to organise and still pronounce it organize. I submit! that there is no occasion to pronounce ise as eyes.
What exactly is your point?

I note that my spell-check just put a red line under your spelling with the S.
Let's see if Sonhouse can work Trump into this post!
@averagejoe1 saidHow do you pronounce "wise" then?

@kewpie saidWell, good point, but we can catapult into the word 'pear' ,and argue that it should be pronounced as the word 'ear'. Or, conversely, that ear should be pronounced 'air'. And on and on. I'm getting dizzy.
How do you pronounce "wise" then?
Let's both be right! Life is not all about winning.......
@kevcvs57 saidThat's all fine and good, but the fact is that Hamas screamed that it was Israel and the media generally swallowed it and Arab countries blamed Israel and engaged in punitive diplomatic actions.
The right wing maga election deniers started the trend whereby you get to believe whatever suits your political wish list
We need a non partisan enquiry to back the own goal scenario and even then the who did it answer will be lost in the general reality that the powerful IDF killed thousands of civilians in Gaza
I don’t think anyone seriously believes the IDF would intentionally bomb a hospital
You don't get to now say "oh, well, it doesn't really matter who did it." It would be like telling a 9/11 truther "Well, it doesn't really matter who blew up the WTC. It was all part of the cycle of violence."
Who blew up the hospital matters, not just because it's a terrible thing to (even negligently) attack a hospital, but also because it shows that Hamas simply cannot be trusted to say absolutely anything.
@kewpie saidI always thought the second word was denIZEN

@sh76 saidYou need to change your news sources the only thing I saw was ‘he said she said’ reports with no real clarity at all but hey there’s a war and truth is usually the first casualty
