No - Every country through history that has tried to do this has not only failed to do so but most have perished in the attempt. No country has the resources (or the wisdom) to dominate the world.

@mchill saidToo bad countries can't mind their own business. Why care about that oil, we have plenty, but Biden won't let us get it. Trump will, so when he is elected, we stay out of the business, and the cultures for god sake, of other countries. Of course, tell Zhalanzi not to call on us if Russia takes Ukraine, and works its way to Romanian border.

No - Every country through history that has tried to do this has not only failed to do so but most have perished in the attempt. No country has the resources (or the wisdom) to dominate the world.
For the record, we will have Trump who deals with real issues, like economy and oil, etc......Yu all realize, I am sure, that the MAIN focus of Biden is, you guessed it, Social Issues. Including cliiiiimmmmmaaaaate control which is a social issue. What a bunch of faeries. Bring it, Trump!

Obviously for historical reasons the US has become the dominant military and economic power of the ‘western world’ and it’s true that China has recently become the same in the east.
No one nation should dominate the world but if one had to you hope it would be at least nominally a democratic one that at least paid lip service to liberal ideals. The US ( at least until 2024 ) best fits that description.

No, I don't think that it is good at all that America has 800 military bases in 80 countries, like the US owns the world.
