I am so proud to be Dutch. Before I was born I had this really difficult decision; which country to be part of? Where to be born?
After a long study of history, economics and sociology I finally found the best country in the world. It's superior to all others! The Netherlands.
But then the challenge started. I had to proof my superiority before I could be a proud proud Dutch citizen. You can't be proud about something that even the biggest losers get thrown in their lap.
So I had to accomplish great feats. I had to establish I was deserving of such a great honour. So after proving my superior intelligence, humility and refinement, among other things, I was finally accepted. So then the stork brought me to Dutch parents.
I am so proud!

When a group of people in a position of strength are in a position to gain from subjugating another group they'll almost always do it. We can talk about which country does what but it serves no point. We've seen the same behaviour from people all over the world across hundreds of years.
Rubbish... Name the species that is better. Sickly Pablum, good grief my dear.
Human nature is what it is and hopefully one day we'll transcend it. It's unlikely, but one idea I had is to make everyone in the world watch the movie "dumb and dumber" at the same time so we'll all be in a good mood--the necessary condition before giving worldwide peace!!
It is an interesting point you allude to though: animals have fights over territory just like people do. I think there is a lot less separating humans from animals than people think. In fact the only thing that actually makes us different is art. Politics are organized a little bit better too, but not much!
