Yeah dude, basically everyone who wasn't a Trump sycophant knew right away that going full-out war with Iran was a very bad idea. We have a bunch of examples from recent history. Combine that with the lack of experience in these types of things up and down the chain of command, with massive firings of generals and leaders, their replacement with idiots who just beat their c ...[text shortened]... any dumb people around him who didn't know what the obvious negatives were for bombing Iran. Idiots.
If Trump’s team was truly filled with incompetent fools, it’s hard to explain why the same administration achieved major diplomatic agreements, economic growth before COVID, the territorial defeat of ISIS, and no new large-scale wars during his first term. You can disagree with their decisions, but dismissing everyone involved as idiots is more emotion than argument. Silly guy. You rave on like Susie Anne. You will discount this very paragraph when it makes perfect sense pitiful.
@wildgrass saidAnd are you so naïve not to realize that foreign policy , decisions have to be judged against the alternatives. ?? What was the better option? Allow Iran to continue its activities unchecked? Hope deterrence worked by itself? Every option carried risks. It’s easy after events unfold to point to the negatives and declare the decision foolish, but serious analysis compares the actual decision against realistic alternatives, not against a hypothetical perfect outcome. This is child’s play, I can’t believe you are so naïve. You just say these things to royal up the forum.

Here is the average Joe kicker. You will not, you will not, you will not tell us what should have been done or what we should do now. That means your posts are total vacuums. They contribute nothing to the forum or to this discussion.
@AverageJoe1 saidOh dear where to begin comparing the resume of Jim Mattis, a 4-star general who led the 1st Marine Division in the Iraq war invasion and ran combat missions in Fallujah, to Pete Hegseth, a Foxnews commentator who wears a lot of makeup.
You are so emotional.

It is interesting you needed to go back to his first term to find a foreign policy achievement worthy of mentioning here. Back in his first term, Trump was still nuts but he generally had a few people around him who knew what they were doing.
@wildgrass saidAs for Trump’s first term, I mentioned it because foreign policy outcomes matter. The Abraham Accords happened. ISIS lost its territorial caliphate. North Korea stopped testing long-range missiles for a period. Whether you like Trump or not, those were real developments that occurred during his administration.

Reasonable people can debate Trump’s decisions and his temperament. But dismissing every accomplishment because you dislike him, or assuming that anyone who served under him deserves credit while he deserves none, isn’t a serious evaluation either.
You of course, are not a reasonable person. If you were, you would tell us what should be done now or should have been done before regarding Iran. You and your lot love to throw out all these complaints about hating Trump, but you never tell us what he could’ve done better. So you are a very unreasonable person on the forum. I found you more boring every day with all respects if that makes any sense.
@AverageJoe1 saidThat's been all erased. Sleepy poopy pants don is attributed to making the worst diplomatic deal in the 40 yrs.Even his own party can't believe what went down.

@AverageJoe1 saidSure, sure. You pretend I was in the fracking war room. You don't want to admit it, but there's a big difference between administrations who have competent people working for them and what we are seeing right now (podcasters and TV personalities are now running our government).

I wasn't in the war room when the decision was made to go to war with Iran, but I can assure you there was no one telling Trump the obvious facts of the situation. If you assassinate the ayatollah, there will be a regional war. That war will spike gas prices and cause inflation. That war will not change the regime, because the son will take over. That war will also not get rid of the nuclear capabilities of Iran unless you drag it out for months with troops on the ground.
Because no one told him these obvious things, he went to war. To get out of it, he's basically reversed all of his previous opinions about Iran and has started attacking Israel.
All of it was predictable, but no one in the room had any experience in anything remotely relevant for making those high level decisions.
@wildgrass saidLike, so gay, little feller.

You keep saying “no one told Trump” and “everyone knew.” How do you know? Were you in the room?
You’re treating your predictions as facts and your assumptions as evidence. Reasonable people can disagree about Iran policy, but claiming to know exactly what advice the president received is mind-reading, not analysis. Geez
Your claiming to know exactly what was said in meetings you never attended and exactly what advice Trump received from people you’ve never spoken to. That’s speculation, not evidence.
You also present a long chain of predictions as established facts: that killing the ayatollah would automatically cause a regional war, (You are so smart!!!) the regime would simply continue under a son, that nuclear capabilities could only be stopped with ground troops, and that no competent advisers were involved. Those are all debatable propositions, not “obvious facts.” Haha You write like a loser. You are prob sweating price of gas!!!!! For your Honda.

If someone told Trump that gas prices would go up forever, it would cause a regional war, none of our foreign policy goals will be accomplished, and you will be humiliated by Iran on the global stage, do you think he would have pushed the button?
Silly question you are asking here.

This Wgrass person just said all this, everyone. He made three predictions. Are you gonna follow him, maybe friend Him as they say on Facebook? He shares a checkbook with his mother. He is a Momma's boy.
Absolutely unbelievable. Do you know that the 37-year-old Talarico share huge checking account with his mom? They don’t come more queer than that.
You little people need to come up with something. This is getting crazy. Do you know that Dems have DSA recruiters to find people like this little fairy, like they found Platner, a Nazi?
NOW you see yourselves. Creepy
@AverageJoe1 saidOh boy! Sounds Wgrass is striking many of your nerves. HA HA. Calm down little fella. Sleepy donny boy gave Iran everything they wanted,. dump lost this war. Pallets upon pallets of cash is going into Iran's pocket book. Nice job diaper don.

He left some stuff out!!!
Darn that Trump. All he did was defeat a cancer on our earth, not a thought about cutting Musk off at the knees!
A lot to be done. Let us not let up on him. We want $2 gas NOW. Yeah we know eggs are back to normal as is most everything else, but what about the gas? How many weeks will it take?!?!?! Nuclear threat is one thing, but da ...[text shortened]... ses.
Will Trump still run things even after he is president??
It’s me, average Joe!!!!!!!
All you do is parrot the great leader and demean people. And you think that will win you friends and honour?

Your boy is a failure, as a president and as a human being. The sooner you acknowledge this, the better you will feel.
