No, I played in a league once while in the Navy. I will not tell you
my scores, the shame is still with me. LOL Many in my family are,
and some are quite good. I have an uncle that bowled a perfect
game once in league play, I'm not sure how common that is
since I don't follow the sport. He showed me the artical in the local
paper, more than once. 🙂

Hmm... Wine drinking Potatos would be good, but I don't really know much having only met one.

Get a piece of music and treat it as a dance step at home, until you
want to go into public and try while bowling. It is after all a matter of
timing nothing else. Get a couple of people who want to do it too, and
treat is line dancing until you get it down. 🙂

A 300 game is nothing to sneeze at. It's 12 strikes in a row and maybe a couple might be lucky but the majority are not. My high game is 285. Too bad the money in professional bowling is nowhere near the money in pro golf.

As much as I enjoy it, I have a hard time calling it a "sport" myself. More like a game to me. I think it's about as much as a sport as poker is 😉

good idea. I don't know if I will do it because I was really being facetious about the wanting to bowl leftie thing although it would be fun to do.

I think phlabby should start a thread on fashion sense, and concentrate mainly on this.

Dryer's create a vortex when they spin and the the heat induces a temporal wormhole. It's very small and so only small single items can travel through it in one go. This explains why only one sock dissappears, and yet pants and shirts always remain.

So far, bowling is the subject I am best versed in. Nyxie, you should know I have no right talking fashion!

You mean there are not sock elves that break into my house, steal my socks, and auction them on ebay?

Man I bet the next thing you are going to tell me is there isn't an Easter Bunny, right?

Perhaps these elves you speak of live on the other side of the wormhole and just use it to gain access to your socks. This is why there is no evidence of a breakin and why you're really not crazy for believing in elves.

Ahhh....that explains it. Sophisticated little buggers, aren't they? I thought they just made shoes and cookies and such.

I believe it's an ABC and WIBC rule. I think it came about because of the money involved in some fast leagues and sanctioned tournaments. For example: you're a 190 average right handed bowler and spend the year bowling left handed and establish an average of 120. But everytime you enter a handicap tournament you bowl right handed and pick up a sizeable check. Of course, in scratch leagues and tournaments it wouldn't matter, but the rule applies anyway.
