I was recently amused at the rantings of this left wing doofus.

Sir whatever by whatever power... indeed.

Did it ever occur to these doofus fools that they are asking us to engage in a suspension of belief while they perform? If we can suspend reality then we can participate with them.

They must create a believable and enjoyable illusion. We must become a willing audience. If we lose the ability to participate in the illusion... they lose all value to us.

So when they spout silly politics... when we see them on stage, be they actor or performer, -- the illusion is gone. They have ruined the illusion. They are just silly worn out commies. Or whatever. There can be no magical dispensation of belief.

They.. by asserting their politics are stating their superiority to us.

We know better. Most of these boobs can't fix their own meals.

So where do they get off complaining when we boycott their silliness?

If they destroy the necessary illusion... who's fault is it we dump the Dixie Chicks and never again watch a George Clooney movie? Or think that Babs is anything but a squawking hen?

Or that Tim Robbins and his missus are but silly fools with no talent?

They destroyed the illusion and the suspension of belief. Not us... the audience.

Art and Politics are not the same level of existence. Politics over-rides and destroys art. Oh that the silly things would see themselves for what they are. performers. Nothing more.

Oh, and lets not forget Charlton Heston and Arnold Schwarzawhosit.

I was listening to a program on NPR about the charities that compete for celebrities to endorse thier cause. I will say this, I could care less for the celebs but they do get the word out every once in a while about something that is important. Child deseases etc.
