There's a guy called Andy Burnham who seems to be set to be the next prime minister. Only issue is he's not currently a member of parliament (which he needs to be), so they're trying to get him in via an election in June after someone stepped down to make way. Macclesfield or something I think it was, so if he wins that the they'll push starmer out and Burnham in over the summer or early autumn I'd imagine.

Thanks for the info. A quick Google of Andy Burnham seems to indicate that he is to the left of Starmer on things like immigration and energy. Can Labour not read the room? I don't get it.
