It is reported that a Basque terrorist who has seved a 21- year prison sentence for murdering several Spanish citizens is to be allowed by Spain's socialist 'government' to be allowed to live, when releaed, in the same street as the relatives of his victims 'on humanitarian grounds'.
That says it all for the socialist mentality. Just as in the Uk we have resident muslim preachers of murder and mayhem allowed by our socialist apology for a government not only to live here but to receive 'welfare' benefits as well.

So, the socialist party (God knows what you're referring to though, most socialists were murdered by Franco, a fascist who was supported by the West) can jump up and down all they want about whatever they want... once the guy has served his sentence, he's gonna be allowed free.

That's the way things work in civilisation.
Now, you start rounding up the bastards who've killed thousands of civilians by bombing them from planes... like your own airforce, lock them up for 23 years before setting them free... and then come back to reality.

I would just like to point out that socialist philosophy says absolutely nothing about how convicted criminals should be treated. Therefore, how a particular socialist government treats a particular convicted criminal says nothing about “socialist mentality” in general. Just like with right-wing people, some socialists would no doubt want convicted criminals to be more harshly treated while others will want them to be treated less harshly. There must exists some socialists that consider the right-wing republicans “too soft” on convicted criminals.
As usual, you all are missing the point...AGAIN!
The man has paid his debt to society by serving out his jail term. As such, he is judged to have absolved himself. This is the basic tenant of our penal systems. Do your time and then you are free.
But instead, you lot would prefer to punish the man for the rest of his life. You casually dismiss out of hand, or dare i say without any thought whatsoever, the time he served in jail as his punishment.
Your beef, if any, is with the justice system and NOT with the form of government. Every government takes its cue from its constitution when it comes to individual freedoms. Yet, you all want to deny this man his freedom.
Bunch of hypocrites.

Only an ignorant clown like you would post a fictitious quote and then reply to it.
Originally posted by mohothis is socialist mentality? no, this is civilised mentality. by your mentality, jails would be useless. after serving their sentence, prisoners are no longer considered to having paid their debt. they are considered criminals still. so a thief, a murderer, a rapist who maybe are rehabilitated would be sent to a colony so they stay away from the other folks for the rest of their lives. so basically they will be continuing their life in another jail. what would you want? death sentence for all? life sentence for all criminals? how about a drunk driver who killed 2 kids and will regret it for the rest of his life. does he deserve a life in prison too? how about a thief? or someone wrongfully convicted?

how about gitmo? is it a good idea to label someone enemy combatant. lock them and throw away the key without a trial to settle the man's guilt?
