Personally, I think the conservative Justices drew straws to see who would implement common sense. Overturning the law would have generated a mess.

There are now, but that's because the Republican Party has fallen under the influence of a more extreme right wing fringe. But 15 years ago, you would have been right. You basically had two pro-corporate parties, one pro-choice and the other against.
