What’s the debate?

Clock

The article is slipshod in reporting Starbuck's explanation as to their alleged actions,
what was meant by the caricature etc

I’m sorry.
I still don’t see a debate.

Although, getting your knickers in a twist just because someone draws slanty eyes on your Starbucks coffee cup seems a little self-obsessed.

@Duchess64 Earl of Trumps (predictably) hastens to support racist harassment.

you filthy disgusting LIAR. Try showing all evidences before you deem it racism, as in
"Two sides to every coin". Show the other side. Or SCREW.

A sad (and unacceptable) incident to hear about. I do though find your statement curious:

"If her (likely white) boyfriend had not complained, I doubt that the manager would have taken her seriously at all..."

I think you are betraying your own bias here and making assumptions that degrade the stance you have taken in this thread.

No I don't. I'm highlighting yours.

@Duchess64

"If her (likely white) boyfriend had not complained, I doubt that the manager would have taken her seriously at all..."

You are projecting your own prejudice and bias by making unsupported assumptions. We have no evidence to determine the ethnicity of the boyfriend, none whatsoever.

Your assumption discounts the possibility that her boyfriend was also of Thai heritage and assumes that if he was, his complaint wouldn't have been taken as seriously. Again this betrays your own bias and prejudice that you inject into the incident. (And almost every other incident).

I agree entirely that the caricature on the cup was unacceptable, but the ethnicity of the boyfriend was unspecified and you are wrong to make assumptions to support your own well-established bias.

Duchess64 keeps showing her propensity to imagine things I am implying, particularly when flagging up her own bias and prejudice.
