Shall we do it right now, or should we wait a bit?
I have always thought that you were a bit of a clown, as well you know.

Meanwhile, would you like some paragraphing lessons to go with Comma Construction 101, or will you rely on your monstrous comedy ego to see you through again?

Do former PMs normally get a state funeral?
What are the criteria?
The only 20th century PM to be given a state funeral was Winston Churchill.
In the 19th century Gladstone and Palmerston had one, and the Duke of Wellington, but that was for his earlier military career. Disraeli was offered one but turned the honour down.
Basically Thatcher seems to be getting one because Blair is her number 1 fan.
Originally posted by SiskinI think with all the protocols observed with state funerals, it is more a fact of insuring that at the time of her passing she indeed would have past and her place of resting will be known.
