Gee, I dunno Mr. President. Seems like negative economic growth, persistently high unemployment, record deficits... I don't see that whatever crises there were have necessarily ended.

Okay, hotshot. Medicare does require "modest" reforms but not the "whole burden." Give us some details. What types of Medicare reforms would you agree to?

I hear a lot about conceding the need for some spending cuts; but I don't hear specifics.

I'll read the analysis tomorrow. I can't stand to listen to him.

He's hammering on tax breaks; but he largely capitulated on tax breaks a few weeks ago.

Tax reform is a nice idea, but probably pie in the sky.

Simplification of the tax code is empty populism.

I'm really trying to be objective here. But this is not a big time speech so far. It's just not.

I like that he's emphasizing not spending more money. I guess they showed him the deficit numbers.

Job creation is important. It's good that it's being emphasized.

An American politician talking about climate change. Haven't heard that in a while. Sounds like a man who doesn't have to run in another elect...

The infrastructure improvement idea is nice in concept; but what about all the spending cuts we heard about 20 minutes ago?

Another huge subsidy for homeowners? Give me a break.

Allowing people to re-finance is fine; but spending government money to force it?

I stopped blogging in the middle, but I thought it was a solid last half. Powerful message on gun control; but did not discuss the rights of gun owners at all.
