We love our freedom, and will fight for it. The US isn't fighting in Iraq or anywhere for American freedom!?

You are showing your ignorance of WW2, no offense intended. Russia and England had no choice to fight as Germany declared war on both countries and attacking them outright. If GB and Russia didn't "help" as you say, and rolled over "dead", Germany may well be ruler of Europe and Russia today.
BTW, England declared war on Germany after the Germans invaded Poland; the Germans did not declare war on England and would have been quite happy not to fight the British at all (at least in the short run).
