is the outcry from PETA about animals used in "live" nativity scenes. This is their fear of what happens to these animals. Unfortunately, one live nativity scene they protested had humans inside the animal costumes.

May God have mercy on the baby harp seals.

Well if the animals didn't want to be part of the nativity, then they shouldn't have voted in favor of it, 10 - 2 - 1 with 6 camels, 3 sheep, and a cow for yes, 2 pigs for no, and the jackass abstained.

"Unfortunately, one live nativity scene they protested had humans inside the animal costumes."

And that sums up all you need to know about PETA.

PETA would have really "flipped" if they saw what we did to the live pigs during the Operational Emergency Medical course. My pig had his jaw shot off by a shotgun, so I had to establish an airway by performing a crycothyroidotomy (slicing his middle-throat to open the thyroid cartilage to stick a tube into the airway). I was in "pig" heaven....too bad we couldn't barbecue them afterwards. Blood was flowing everywhere...it was great! I've since never looked at a pig the same way that I used to....strange.
